Realistic 3D Cat Portraits Out Of Felted Wool by the Japanese artist Wakuneco.
She makes these cute works since 2015.
She shared that it’s a very long and delicate work and it takes her about a month to complete one portrait.
She uses photos of real cats as a reference to create the portraits, and she sells her works on Yahoo Auctions, currently shipping only to Japan.

Winged insects made from old computer circuit boards and electronics by the artist Julie Alice Chappell, based in the UK. The series called “Computer Component Bugs.”
“With all their tiny components, complex circuitry and bright metallic colours I cannot help but compare them to the detailed patterns we see when we look at nature up close,” Chappell wrote in an article on permaculture.co.uk. “I view the miniature circuit boards with the same curiosity and amazement as I view the natural world.“
Chappell is an environmentally minded artist as well – she says her work transforms “discarded and often environmentally dangerous materials to create something new and precious, keeping the art sympathetic to current environmental issues whilst developing an original making process.“

This was an editorial illustration created for an article on home delivery and the midwives that assist the process in this months issue of Baltimore Magazine. The idea was to convey a newborn baby within a loving, home environment, and not the typical sterile hospital scene. source

Where the Wild Things , Maurice Sendak
Sendak illustrated and wrote a huge array of highly popular children’s titles, but it was his 1963 creation Where the Wild Things Are that arguably influenced American children’s illustration moreso than any other title (by Sendak or otherwise).
20 million copies sold since its publication.
Despite the huge popularity of the book, Sendak refused to create a sequel, calling it “the most boring idea ever.” Following his death in 2012, New York Timesheralded his lifelong achievements and noted in their obituary that Sendak was “the most important children’s book artist of the 20th century.” source
